Glasses in Children!

Did you know that 1 in 6 Children wear glasses in Australia, however the stats should be much higher with as many as 1 in 4 children having an undiagnosed eye condition 1

But how often do you see Children’s books where the main character wears glasses?

In America the statistics are even higher, in 2019 the CDC did a study that showed, 1 in 3 Girls aged between 6-17 wear glasses or contact lenses and 1 in 4 American Boys.[2)

I am wanting to change that with My debut Children’s book, Annabelle Rose. Beautifully illustrated to showcase a girl who wears glasses. Born out of personal experience when our daughter was told she needed glasses at three years old, we struggled to find books, where the lead character wore glasses.

The books we did find were ones highlighting the experience, not showing them as a normal part of life.

They will love to learn about colors and color mixing with Annabelle Rose!
